Purmerend's Coziest House

Another project that has grown in stages. Rather than tackling the whole renovation at once, we have been taking it step by step, splitting the work into manageable chapters and making the process feel less overwhelming.

The house itself was spacious and comfortable, but lacked the character and personality of its bright, ambitious and wonderfully interesting owners. From the very first assignment to the last piece of decoration, I have felt completely in tune with their taste and way of thinking.

The colours, textures, materials and details we chose together feel so natural to me that, in another life, this could easily have been my own home.

It has been one of those rare projects that I can barely call work — just a very happy, ongoing creative collaboration.
