Apartment in Kyiv

Call me nostalgic, but I want you to see this project from ten years ago.

My client was single at the time, dreaming of a family and open to all the adventures life might bring. That attitude shaped his brief: almost no restrictions, just the freedom to use whatever materials, colours and textures would make the space most exciting.

Handmade brass tiles, a mirrored wall, customised wallpaper and even an electric fireplace in the bedroom — every delivery felt like a birthday, with another unexpected piece of the puzzle arriving at the door.

This project remains one of my favourites because it was an opportunity to be truly fearless with materials and ideas. It reminded me how much I love creating interiors that are personal, unexpected and a little bit magical.

I'm convinced that with a little courage from my future clients and my passion for unique materials, there are many more projects like this waiting for me here in the Netherlands.
