Small Café · Kyiv

A compact café of around 50 m² designed to transform throughout the day — from a casual spot for lunch and coworking to a more intimate destination for drinks in the evening.

The main challenge was to create several distinct experiences within a very small footprint. A central coworking table serves those stopping by to work, while cosy tables for two line the concrete wall, comfortable dining tables accommodate groups of four, and a lounge area invites guests to settle in for late-night drinks.

With strong competition from cafés in the neighbourhood, the space also needed to be instantly recognisable. We approached the interior as a collection of small photo moments and memorable backgrounds, giving the café its own visual identity and plenty of reasons to reach for a phone.

Even the tableware was designed specifically for the café, extending the concept beyond the interior itself.

Small in size, but designed to offer many different experiences.
