Tiny Café & Bar · Kyiv

A tiny café in the centre of Kyiv that serves coffee and lunch during the day and transforms into a busy bar in the evening — a space balancing between two completely different moods.

As this was the owners' first venture and very much an experiment, we worked with a limited budget and made a conscious effort to reuse as much as possible and DIY wherever it made sense.

One of my favourite experiments was the bar front. Instead of replacing the existing, rather ordinary structure, I developed a dynamic, colourful artwork that we painted directly onto it. Visible from the street, it immediately became an eye-catching feature and gave the small space a strong identity.

A project that proved that sometimes a little creativity can do more than a big budget.
